Fiddler’s Greens… Play on!
The Perfect Tune
As the founders of Fiddler’s Greens, we have one goal: to bring you the purest, most effective health and wellness remedies available. Nearly a decade ago, we applied our considerable experience – the discipline of a military background, the pragmatism of business management, and the keen eye of a ship’s captain – to the challenge of cultivating the finest possible medicine for our Sonoma County, California collective members. The teamwork and like-minded commitment that helped us successfully pilot many a sailing vessel paid off.
After years of applied research, the result is an unparalleled line of sustainably-grown, solvent and pesticide-free, whole, fresh flower-based products. Every harvest of our specifically chosen strains is laboratory tested multiple times throughout the process to ensure that every Fiddler’s Greens remedy is toxin-free and provides a consistent dose of effective ingredients.
The "Orchestral" Effect
Research has found cannabis to be more effective when the whole plant is used. While THC is known for its intoxicating effects when smoked, it has limited psychoactive effects when in its acidic form (i.e. it has not been heated and chemically altered). CBD has long been known to provide healing and wellness. (Rumor has it that even Queen Victoria used CBD-rich cannabis to treat her royal pains!) However, while CBD and THC are the better known stars of the show, the terpenes (more than 200 have been found in cannabis) and lesser-known cannabinoids form a basis for holistic healing, and create a synergistic effect (or as we like to call it, an “orchestral effect”) that rounds out that beautiful music that brings the endocannabinoid system back into harmony.
Additionally, a growing body of research is showing that, in various combinations and ratios, the acidic form of CBD and THC (CBDa and THCa) can help treat a wide range of difficulties, as described below. Certain strains may provide relief from inflammation and joint pain, while others may be more effective for anxiety and depression. Fiddler’s Greens has pored over the research and selected cannabis strains that deliver the most powerful, most advantageous results, tailor-made to your needs.
Our Raw Tinctures are made with cannabis flowers that have not been decarboxylated, or exposed to heat. Instead of using harsh chemicals to extract cannabinoids, we use a centuries-old, no-heat, infusion process. This allows us to keep the cannabinoids in their raw, or acidic, form and preserve the terpene profiles. We have selected four unique cannabis strains with four unique cannabinoid and terpene profiles to provide a variety of treatment options. Each strain is available in an Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil or an Organic Cane Alcohol.
Our Raw Tinctures are available in each of these four strains:
AC/DC has become renowned for its ability to reduce anxiety and improve concentration. It has powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, antioxidant, and neuro-protective qualities. Patients with PTSD have reported profound reductions in symptoms, and ongoing tests have shown positive results in treating Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other neuro-degenerative disorders.
Kindred Spirit is our own unique strain, offered exclusively by Fiddler’s Greens. A strong analgesic, it has been reported to be especially helpful in reducing pain of a chronic nature. Patients with gastrointestinal disorders have also reported significant reduction in pain and inflammation.
Harlequin is a descendent of Columbian Gold, a Nepali indica, and Thai and Swiss landrace strains. Its 2:1 CBDa:THCa ratio make it effective for pain of an acute nature. Many patients have reported relief from migraine symptoms, and it can be very effective in relieving minor arthritis symptoms. It has also shown signs of aiding those with sleep difficulties in both falling and staying asleep – without any morning grogginess.
OG Kush is one of the most well-known cannabis strains. It is cherished for its ability to relieve stress and is frequently used to treat body ailments, insomnia, chronic migraines, bipolar disorders, anxiety, depression, vomiting, stomach issues, and much more. It carries an earthy pine and sour lemon scent with woody undertones, an aroma that has become the signature of OG Kush varieties and descendants.
